I’m not sure I understand the point. All this seems to resolve is the “fake” part of social media. That doesn’t seem to be the issue, as I’m sure that most people realize that what people post is fake and not “real life.” How does this make you actually social? How does this get you to go see people in real life rather than just online. That’s the reason people feel disconnected, we are physically disconnected from others.
I agree, although I think it would be interesting for there to be a self-hosted version of Be Real to use with friends.
