For sure the chest piece needs some love. I was using citadel metallics, but I picked up some valejo ones that I’ve heard good things about. Not sure where I’m going with the bases, I’ll probably cut the models off and use some cork and such to give them more texture.

I was just going to recommend Vallejo’s Mecha color line if you had problems.
