So with all of these stories, how do they justify being able to use public resources (that we are all required to pay taxes into) without being part of the system? The US recognizes citizens of other nations and exempts them, but these are not recognized “foreigners”. Also driving a car is not a “right”, they’re free to travel but they’re gonna have to hoof it on foot.

(I know, introducing logic into this)

They think the US has secret bank accounts for everyone born here that it can use to pay for stuff. It’s more detailed and even dumber than it sounds, but that’s the gist.

I used to compare their IQs to a bag of hammers, but the more I read about this movement, the more I realize I’m being unfair to the hammers.

They’ll probably still have to pay the tax, otherwise someone’s books are not gonna check out. And then the man is gonna come for you.

Most states will verify taxes have been paid when a vehicle is titled in the state. Without a Title, you can’t get plates.

I was pulled over for a private plate

So they likely haven’t titled their car in any state, and haven’t paid sales tax. Yeah, the judge is going to have a field day with this and our protagonist is going to be looking at a much much larger problem than they have now. Its one thing to run afoul of the laws. When you mess with the state’s money, they get REALLY pissed off.

Exactly! A vindictive fantasist can make so many people’s lives miserable without repercussions, but not the tax man OR the student loan man. They will find you.

I’m more thinking about starting a 5-stars passport business online. Something tells me this pays much more than any sales taxes. The world never seems to get short of idiots.

The real money would have been selling them passport NFTs in late 2020-early 2021. Too bad I didn’t have that business idea at the time. I’d be retired now.

I call shenanigans, you cannot wave a piece of paper that says “no sales tax” on a vehicle. The slang for registering any vehicle in most of the US is “tag, tax and title”. If you do not pay the tax, you do not get tags, which are annual (unremovable holographic vinyl) stickers. They shred if you even lift a corner. No pay, no play. This sobbie is lying about avoiding sales tax, he’s not just bananas. I hope he gets valid tags, applies them to his Sharpie ass paper plates, then decides to peel them off and sell them.

I’m from the UK and I have a UK passport. According to this chaps beliefs, as a non US resident and using my UK passport, I can just turn up, rent or buy a house, have a job or own a business, drive around without a license and stay indefinitely using all US or state amenities? Perhaps it might be simpler to ask him for his immigration status?

How did this person get a 5-star passport?

Those are reserved for Dennis in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
