I’ve sort of come around on the Danish Defense Academy. They seem to be one of the single most effective anti-imperialist organizations in the country, which is a good thing considering that even the Red-Greens have bend the knee to NATO, and now opposition to NATO is basically only a position held by very old social democrats, non of whom seem to have noticed the party all but kicking them out.
Think I started with Switzerland, because I saw Gold and Watches and figured what the hell. Then guessed Malaysia, and Taiwan, before trying Macau and finally getting it right. Felt fucking cheated. Though I have been playing this game for like 2 years at this point, so I have seen a lot of weird not-a-real-country’s come up.

Not a real country alert. Also I fucked up by forgetting that Tradle counts these things as independent, and also by forgetting that strictly speaking you don’t need to have a ressource within your own borders in order to export it.
Denmark is currently having a culture war moment with a Square within the city, which by popular demand was to be named “Palestine Square”. Obviously the useless city government was against it for a while, with members of the county council going out and arguing that names for places in the city shouldn’t be used to make political statements.

The problem is more for the rest of the world that the United States never stopped holding it hostage. LMAO, the Danish center-right party “The Moderates” has officially begun purging their employees. Wonderful shit coming out of Denmark and our deeply serious Scandinavian Democracytm. As has been described by SoyViking, the party is more or less just a cult of personality around our current foreign minister and former prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who is famous for trying to turn his previous party into a slush fund for his personal expenses.
Rasmussen is also famous for appointing the queen of the far right Inger Støjberg to the post as Minister for Foreigners and Integration, which the danes on here rightfully refer to as the Racism Ministry, which put her in charge of our refugee policy, culminating in first Denmarks “Jewelry Law” which let the state confiscate jewelry from brown people who sought asylum here (said law was waived when the Ukrainians came, because obviously the law doesn’t actually apply to whites) and also the unconstitutional family separation policy, which ended up getting her impeached and kicked out of parliament back in 2023.

This one stumped me for a while, for no other reason than me being stupid and forgetting how Central Asia looks. Litterally couldn’t think of an industrialized country in Central Asia with plenty of oil and wheat. Then I had an epiphani while on the toilet and remembered that I had somehow forgetten about the biggest country in the region, that famously has a shitload of oil and space for growing food.
I remember feeling kind of bad hearing that a guy died from Trumps first assasination attempt and then someone found the guys twitter and obviously the guy was a massive nazi, so my sympathy just vanished immediately. Not sure why i expected the guy to be normal, but somehow I did.
Or just fucking use your own credit card like a grown up. Such a weird thing to lose an entire parliamentary career over, especially because he was one of the SocDems who seemed perfectly happy just being a toadie to the PM.
Edit: LMAO, he got convicted in 30 minutes. Admitted to the whole thing and just started talking about being “vewwy sowwy”
Was it Chicago or Detroit that sold the rights to their parking meters for 75 years to a group of investors from Abu Dhabi, and after like 4 years they had already made back their money and just started jacking up the price of parking because they could. Also supposedly there is a clause in the agreement that makes it so the city has to pay excessively anytime they want to take away a parking space that the investors own. It’s literally insane that a city that size doesn’t just tell the investors to fuck off and sic the national guard on them.

Went with Honduras at first, because my coffee was from there this morning. Then guessed Nicaragua before looking at a map in my office and realizing that I had to go further south.
Guessed that this would be either central asian or caucasus, since the country was mostly extraction, but still with sizeable agriculture and a small amount of industry. The clues are notoriously wonky with some of the bigger central asian countries (particularly Kazakhstan) so it took me an extra try just to point me westward.
They’re not saying that white women are worshipped, only that people with power take them more seriously, particularly if they’re yelling at other people. When a black person (specifically often black men) are confronting white people for being shitty, cops / enforcers are WAAAAAAAY more likely to escalate the situation and make everything worse.
Danish millitary officers are every bit as imperialist as the rest of NATO, just a lot worse at their job. And the Danish Defense Academy is anti-imperialist sort in the same way that the F-35 is, i.e. it’s too bad at the job of being a tool for imperialism to be of any actual threat.
