I actually really like the way that the Chevron breaks up the stripes of the rainbow. However, a better designed flag would make the chevron a single color.

Before he died, Gilbert Baker suggested adding a lavender stripe for Diversity to the rainbow flag. I say make the Chevron a single lavender color.

In lieu of that though, I like the progress flag in the way that I like the flag of Maryland. It’s so bad it loops back around to being charming.

If I want good queer flag design, I’ll go to the bi, trans, and intersex flags. Most everything else is garbage tbh. For a group of people stereotyped as having an eye for aesthetics, we’re garbage at flags.

Also, as an aside, there’s an old book on Wicca from the 70s called A Witch’s Bible by Janet and Stewart Farrar, which at one point encourages readers to study Marxism and Dialectical Materialism, because the underlying spiritual philosophy of witchcraft is very dialectical. 3. Wandering Son - it’s a manga/anime about a group of queer middle school kids as they navigate growing up. The plot principally revolves around friends Nitori Suichi, a trans girl, and Takatsuki Yoshino, a trans boy. Though there are other trans characters that come in and out of the story.

They’re mostly represented quite well. Especially in the anime. The manga has some notable stumbles however, that should be known about going in.

Mild spoiler >!Yuki, an older trans woman who acts as a mentor to the kids, and her husband, get uncomfortably touchy-feely with the kids when they’re first introduced in the manga. This gets course corrected pretty quickly in the manga thankfully, and isn’t present at all in the anime adaptation!<

Major spoiler >!In the Manga, Takatsuki is shown at the very end to no longer consider themselves trans. The text implies Takatsuki isn’t actually cis, but is instead in the midst of an evolution in how they conceive of their gender, which us left open to interpretation. However, it’s handled poorly and doesn’t really land very well, and is known to be alienating to some trans masc readers. Again, this isn’t an issue in the anime!<

4. The anime is good! The Manga is a meh, for the aforementioned stumbles.

But Wandering Son is the piece of media that ultimately convinced me that I need to transition. So I’ve got a huge soft spot for it

I think it depends. Something realistic? I’d want ps3/ps4 level graphics. But for fucking Mario? That cartoony little shit does not have any reason having graphics at all superior to the fucking GameCube.

Yeah, like I’ve got a batocera emulation setup, and I have a bunch of old flash games I played as a kid on there, as a curiosity. But I hardly touch them.

The only one with substance that I occasionally go back to is this one puzzle game with little Viking guys trapped in ice, and you have to free them. It’s a cute little time waster, but that’s about it.
