I’ve seen my cat once eat a pretty big mouse in my backyard in one big gulp. A cat could eat one of those chickens like the nuggets they will be someday.

Cool! We don’t get many of these Sculder and Mully memes around here. Moar pls
Humans be like OMG this dog so stupid, but you guys need months or even years to develop object permanence. Pathetic!
Hello, my name is Hollywood. It has come to my attention you at one point liked this thing. For your entertainment I have shit all over this thing and would request you consume it.
No thank you?
Shoves shit down your throat - I SAID FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT!
Go lay down and fall asleep within a few minutes no matter what. I know a few people who can do this and I am so jealous.
This is a good place to start your research: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penile_fracture

Yeah I know, some places are inherently less predictable, especially near mountains or big bodies of water. Just sharing my experience, which may be the exception, or it may be the norm, I don’t know enough about weather prediction to know which is which. It has gotten better for the entire globe I think, but in some places the weather will never be predictable.
But don’t worry, in about 10-15 years snow will be very rare where I live. It has already become more rare with many winters passing without any snow with staying power. I remember when I was a child going to school on a sled with a big snow pack most every winter. I even remember one time we got snowed in and had to dig out the front door. Now I don’t even own a snow shovel any more, whenever there is a bit of snow (which is rare), a broom will do fine to brush it aside. Especially October and November have gotten much warmer than in the past.
Yes, you can actually break your penis and do permanent damage. Doctors warn not to do reverse cowgirl for example, a popular position in porn. If not done right the penis will break and you are going to have a bad time.
The advancement of weather prediction has kinda ruined this. I know in the morning exactly at what time it’s going to rain/snow. It may be off by an hour, but usually it’s dead on. I know at the beginning of the week what the temperatures and chances of rain are going to be and thus what the chance of snow is.
People bitch about weather prediction all the time, because it’s often wrong, but it’s crazy how much better it is than it used to be in the 80s and 90s. And as someone why rides a bike to work (15KMs one way) every day, I check the weather daily and will know if it’s raining when I didn’t expect it to rain. It’s super accurate compared to what it was even 10 years ago.
People are also morons about the weather. A couple of months ago there was a huge storm in the area, with a couple of people killed. In the morning there was a weather warning alerting people to the storm and advising not to go outside if it isn’t necessary. I worked from home that day, but my brother said he went to work on his bike. He was bitching about the weather warning, he biked trough it, it was a bit wet and windy, but no big deal. The weather alerts should be abolished, only causing unwarranted fear in his words. I was like dude WTF, people within KMs of where you live died because of the storm. Just because the chances of dying from such a storm are low, doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be warned or that you can just ignore the warning.
And don’t get me started on the whole climate versus weather thing. However it has gotten so bad the last couple of years, even people who deny climate change have to admit the weather is going crazy at times and is not normal anymore. Alas they have plenty of other BS arguments to throw at you when you mention it.
Missed opportunity to put four lights on day five.
Well my father did all of those things AND hit me
Yeah sorry mate, your planet needs to go, we need to make way for a hyperspace bypass.
Thermodynamics tells us it takes exactly as much to put the carbon back in as you got out of it by taking it out. So best case scenario we double the price of energy (which also means increasing the price of everything by a lot due to production costs increasing with higher energy costs) and capture as much carbon as we release.
However this is the real world and in the real world processes aren’t 100% efficient. Even a hyper efficient combustion engine is only like 40% efficient in converting the stored energy into a usable form. Our carbon capture techniques suck hard at the moment, but say we improve the tech. That means in the real world we would need to increase energy costs by 4-6 times. Which probably means increasing the pricing of everything by a factor of 10.
That shows just how unsustainable our current consume heavy economy actually is. And that is assuming we have a way of capturing carbon out of the atmosphere in a way that’s both efficient and long term. And do this in time before the processes we’ve set into motion spiral out of control.
And like you say, it puts into perspective how big of a win not releasing the carbon is.
I think this image isn’t accurate, regulations state the subject must be completely nude in the wasp room. Not to quote regulations on you, but I think you might want to check before management finds out.
Tom Scott recently did a video about this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkZyZFa5qO0
You’d be surprised how much a concrete pillar holding up an overpass can actually take. They don’t break like in the movies, they are specifically designed to take big truck impacts and not fail. Anybody crashing a Cybertruck at highway speeds into one of those is instantly turned into red colored mashed potatoes.
I don’t know this exact meter, but I had a little optical sensor on my meter for years. There was a dial that rotated once per a given volume, it had a black part and a white part. This way a single led and light detector could measure exact revolutions and be able to read out the value. This way it didn’t have to read the numbers, which is much harder and can’t measure small increments very well.
My meter got replaced with a smart kind years ago, so now I simply have a port that can be read out directly with way more information. But my janky led and light detector thing worked very well for years. Since this was years ago it ran a very simple PIC micro, nothing like a full fledged ESP platform.
Well at least aviation serves some kind of purpose. I hate cruise ships much more, eating up huge amounts of fuel and releasing tons of pollution simply to ferry old folk around. They usually don’t go all that far and generally go in circles. It’s among the most useless and wasteful things people ever invented. Right up there with things like crypto currency, nfts and such.
To not be alone all of the time
Can confirm, for me about 10 miles one way and the bigger the car the more likely they don’t see you or don’t care.
