lol. You keep saying nothing and acting like you’re saying something. Make a point.

You distorted. See? I can say nothing and act like I said something as well!

Compassionate and capable. Trump is anything but capable.

I guess if that’s your takeaway.

Certainly nobody looking for the echo chamber is going to take me seriously. I’m fine with that.

In a government shutdown, they absolutely would.

I mean I wouldn’t doubt it, but that’s not what I was getting at. That’s one instance we’re you may be right in a hypothetical we can’t confirm.
Funny how many words you have to say just to avoid saying “you’re right”.
I am offering an opinion. You can agree or disagree. Saying I’m wrong is just offering your opinion as though it is a fact when it’s just another opinion.
I think there’s plenty of evil shit Republicans do, this just doesn’t feel like it registers to me. Specifically as a result of the government shut down.

and this is why you people never learn.
Sorry I didn’t meet the echo chamber’s approval. As a progressive democrat, I wish “we” would actually learn.
didn’t realize doing your job as an elected official required legal ramifications as motivation.
Now you know.
besides, democrats aren’t required to agree (by anything enforceable), and if that’s all republicans have to “convince” the democrats then how did they even gain majority control of the house and senate? unless…they cheated by gerrymandering…
I’m not 100% sure what point you’re making here. But I probably agree. Though I think when republicans win the popular vote for president, the gerrymandering probably isn’t the reason they won the house also.
Next year they definitely need to cheat to win.

They wouldn’t make that argument? For real?

Upvote this quality post everybody! It only proves my point.

And their argument would be “if liberty & justice and representative government is so important, then allow us to reopen the government”. To me, this is just basic politics.

There’s not many people on here that are willing to hear “the other side isn’t behaving unreasonable in this one instance” about any issue.
I’m fairly progressive, but the amount of “⬆️:us ⬇️:them” on this site is pretty stupid.

This isn’t owning the libs. It’s politicking. What incentive do they have to confirm this person?

The primary is the uphill battle. She’ll have my vote at all stages probably.

Kinda like the ACA individual mandate. If the penalty is $0, then it is not required.

Honestly, after Republicans refused to vote for a SC nominee for nearly an entire year, this just feels insignificant.

I think the Republican Party really got lucky with the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage. People forget how big of an issue this was political. I bet Hillary Clinton would have won if it hadn’t been legalized.
