I’ll give you two:

First, what I call “shitty punk rock” (no offense to the performers). I consider it a form of folk music as it is played by people who may or may not be talented or skilled but, they play it anyway. They have something to express and they choose to express it and passionately express it with such a low level of self-judgement that I envy. Years ago, I’d be in the pit but, I’m not cut out for it anymore. I’ll still support em as I can though.

My favorite though, absolutely has to be folk-punk. Whether singing originals or covers or punkified trad or tradified punk, I absolutely love it. Some recommendations would be Days’n’Daze, Defiance Ohio, and The Dreadnoughts.

I’m also a fan.

Of note Nick Cave has an album filled with pure brutality named “Murder Ballads” that can be a bit hard to get through for me, not for musicality or style but because it succeeds at embodying that term, “brutality”.

And you (and everyone else) shouldn’t HAVE to. There’s enough automation and technology to make it so that nearly all of society’s needs could be met with a handful of hours of work from people who are able and driven to do so.

I hope you are able to engage in creative or other activities that bring you joy and fulfillment, despite your limitations. If you are not, due to lack of assistive device or other means, please communicate it. There are communities here and a lot of users like myself that would be happy to try to help.

A couple of off-post-topic question: I’m at below-novice level in machining (learning on an old, manual Bridgeport mill at my makerspace). Can you recommend any simple but functional projects for practicing skills on a mill and learning behaviors is different materials?

Also, I’m intending to machine a replacement for my electric guitar’s bridge since the stock one is both out of spec, making it impossible to find an aftermarket replacement, and it’s made of chrome-coated pot-metal, making it kinda ugly and musically poor. Do you have any suggestions for alloys that are interesting, decently machinable, and non-leaded?

Termux already does a lot of cool stuff without root. Makes due a decent ssh client in a pinch.

Likely. Alcohol, in many cultures had a spiritual/religious characterization. We literally have an ancient Egyptian beer recipe because it was written into a hymn praising Ninkasi, a Sumerian goddess of beer.
