I’ve recently performed my first full conversion. The key was that windows took like 15 mins to boot and 5 more to open up chrome. That laptop might be ancient but with Linux it goes 0-browser in a minute, and the convertee is more than satisfied.

I had the same, windows takes ages to boot or load any program, start panel with ADS and clunky UI.

Our Lord and Saviour, Linus Torvalds, has risen to deliver us from the evil of closed source OSs. Praise be!

Not only if some one complains… Just mentioning the OS which must not be named summons all this guys.

    I use arch btw.

The real time will be when Windows 10 support is over/paid only. I’ll be moving a bunch of workstations over to Linux.

Yeah, it’s complete BS that the best looking windows, casement and awning, are almost entirely incompatible with window AC units! Like, I have casement windows in my bedroom and the only solution for putting an AC in there is with a “portable” AC, with a horrid looking fabric adapter that tapes to the window. Terrible, 3/10

    this is joke
