They’re mostly looking into it to help get the cost of shipping goods to remote communities down, but this bit at the end sounds so cool I want to write a novel about it:

“A fully serviceable hospital can show up in a community and remain there before moving to another community,” he said.
Sadly, people have been talking about this for at least 15 years now. I’m firmly in “I’ll believe it when I see it” territory.
I wonder if it’s time we revisit hydrogen airships. Use it both for lift and fuel, powering a electric engines via fuel cell. It would also allow remote communities to generate fuel on site.
Just don’t paint it with thermite this time and we’re golden
