Seems like humans are unable to learn without consequences. Scientists tell us not to touch the stove, that it is hot. Looks like we need to touch the stove to learn this lesson.
There are people who would climb over charred bodies to touch the stove, and unfortunately a lot of those people have a lot of money.
and majority of news outlets will frame this as a good thing because money. Oil companies are sure cheering anyway.
Same as reporting heat records with pictures of people on the beach.
