I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt a few weeks ago when she made the comment that the Holocaust never happened or whatever it was. 1) she’s a comedian and has always been a bit edgy. 2) she made the comment on Theo Von’s podcast, another comedian. 3) the clip that was posted on Reddit could’ve easily been taken out of context (see #2). 4) She’s always had a bit of a dry delivery. But this is getting old. At one time she was one of the biggest comedians in the world and hat a hit TV show for years. I can see wanting to get back into the spotlight. As they say on show business, “any publicity is good publicity.” This is probably her way of trying to be (somewhat) relevant.

She has genuine mental health issues, and has previously suffered a traumatic brain injury.

People tend to ignore these obvious answers when talking about her or someone like Kanye. They’re genuinely mentally ill people who need help, and it’s in part the media’s fault for pushing these stories and goading them on.

…she, and other comedians would be “more offensive than they have ever been before.”

It’s a shame she didn’t promise to be funny instead. Guess it makes sense to set achievable goals though.
