    This is cool, especially since I’m renovating a house right now, but I suspect that my state is going to be one of the ones that declines the money.

  • It cost me about 23 or 24k to install geothermal in my old house, that was about 30k before government subsidies.
    That’s in Canadian dollars.
    Now, my yearly hvac cost is about $600-700 a year and a bit more than a third of that is from having the fan on all the time because I prefer to circulate the air around the house.
    It was a much better solution than replacing the old oil furnace.
