I love my stadia controller as a piece of hardware so I’m excited for this change. Plus it was “free” since the refund.

sorry for being cynical but calling this an upgrade is bullshit, it’s just the removal of an anti-consumer lock on the hardware that clearly shouldn’t have been there in the first place
