Damn, looks like a messy breakup. I was wondering what the status of their current relationship was exactly, so this clears things up a lot. Good on Ben for ditching the Grayzone brand.

And yeah, it was messy, but I think, overall, Ben was in the right here.
Ben Norton was why I was reading The Grayzone in the first place. When he left, I left with him. Then I saw Blumenthal’s tone really change on twitter over time and I was like… ok this guy is not a principled leftist, but an opportunist. He kind of did the Glenn Greenwald thing.
He posted an excellent podcast on his experience in China recently that I recommend.
Edit: It’s hard to take Blumenthal seriously as a person after seeing him find and yell at Ben on a public bus.

Greyzone lost their shit when Ben Norton left, the shit is basically yellow journalism with some analysis before (and you can clearly see who is the one driving the analysis part of their podcast). Now it’s just yellow journalism with weird ass shit like how Philosophy tube is a british intelligence psyops because she took a grant for cultural related content creation
