I believe I read before that rescue breaths are no longer strictly necessary and that chest compressions should be the priority when conducting CPR?
Good news if performing it on a giraffe, then.
I am not a professional giraffologist, but I suspect any CPR short of repeatedly backing over the giraffe’s chest with a Jeep would be relatively ineffective.
Maybe you could jump on its chest.
But I don’t have a degree in giraffeology.
Firstly: Bend its neck so it’s face is just down close to you.
Secondly: No need to worry about the breaths part anyhow. CPR now for one person is compressions only. The time it takes for you to do breaths and stop compressions is worse than doing no breaths at all with non stop compressions.
Thirdly: I don’t imagine you could do a damn thing with cpr to get blood moving all the way up and around a giraffes brain to help.
Bend its neck so it’s face is just down close to you.
this closes the airway.
Yeah but it’s closed to you.
This could also be posted out of context with the title “Can’t decide to make out with or feel up the passed out giraffe.”
I’ve noticed quite often that how I’d rather start doing even productive stuff than go to sleep, if I need to go to bed earlier than I’d like to or feel tired.

Well I sure hope of the giraffe is passed out that you’d do CPR and not just sleep.
Please don’t do CPR on someone/something that has “passed out”. O.o
This post would be better without the “this is DEFINITELY me at 3am 😂😂😂😂” text
