That really depends on what you consider is special about Apple.

Wozniak was a genius, but it took a different type of genius to make Apple what it is.

I met woz years ago at a work conference. He was animated and generally excited to meet everyone he encountered. Good guy with a big heart I hope he’s OK.

My guess/hope is it’s altitude related - hopefully just needs some rest and fluids. It apparently happened right after a speech, which I assume exacerbated the symptoms

When I was in the military in the early 90’s, I helped host Woz when he came to Alaska for an F-15 ride (long story).

I was in the small party invited by the brass to a fancy dinner with him. After dinner, the “important people” left. Woz invited myself and three co-workers to his quarters (Air Force has a nice house on base for guests to stay in). We were all young (mid 20’s) and working a computer project together that I had demo’d to him earlier in the day.

He spent 3 hours with us telling us war-stories, founding of Apple, time at HP, what he was doing now, etc. It was a fantiastical experience. He was very generous with his time and we felt special for having such unfettered access to a founder of modern personal computing.

I hope he recovers quickly. The world needs more time with Woz.

He sounds exactly as cool as I always imagined he would be. There seem to be no bad stories about Woz!
