If not free storage, at least make the backup free. They can still charge for photos and other storage. Just make the backup not count so that everyone will use it.

At least they should give us 5gb for each device we have. Like if I buy an iPad, iPhone and MacBook I’ll only have 5gb on my iCloud account???

Apple still living in 2005 with their storage capacity. That’s all part of the racket, however. They want as many people storing in iCloud as possible. That’s why you take a few screen recording and suddenly you maxed out the storage of the damn phone. It’s insane. Same for pictures. They can easily adjust them to store less memory by each picture or video, but they refuse. Nowadays, with 4K and high definition pictures, every phone should have a standard 2 terabyte hard drive capacity, minimum.

Cloud storage is a scam perpetrated by the ridiculous rumor that you absolutely have to back everything up cause if you don’t you could lose it all. They target the hoarder in all of us! Who cares tho! You can go out and buy 2TB usb stick that will hold everything you could ever put on.
