    “we’ve been here before”

    Flashbacks to 2016

And that doesn’t alarm you? I can’t be the only person who remembers how in 2016, the democrats refused to acknowledge any problems and instead tried to rely on republicans being unelectable while they fuckin yucked it up with Goldman Sachs and Co., can I?

“Hopefully trump wins because he’ll be the easiest to beat”

“Those polls saying trumps gonna win are garbage because all the respondants are old people on landlines”

“Sure everybody’s saying they hate Hillary and are literally telling us they just wont vote but when the time comes they’ll line up for her”

“How could anybody have possibly foreseen this coming”

If by literally anything but material conditions you mean people who explicitly said they won’t support neoliberal policies ahead of time.

“I don’t know why you’re complaining,” I say to my fellow scavenger as I pull a shabby jacket off a frozen corpse in the alley behind an abandoned Applebee’s, “the economy is doing great!”

Ok I refuse to believe libs are stupid enough to genuinely believe that telling people “actually the economy’s great you just don’t know how politics works” is still a viable electoral strategy.

They have exhausted their benefit of the doubt, they are literally controlled opposition with the express purpose of getting republicans elected.

My interaction with libs so far seems to be that they think it works. “Line go up” is good, when I say “but things are more expensive” then they talk about “perception of economy” and “creating a story, which takes over” or whatever. Yeah I’m creating a story, it’s an autobiography called “apples cost twice as much now and I am no longer able to keep the doctor away a day”

“I was Obamas campaign manager (the one he almost lost), and ignore the fact that we are doing badly, continue campaigning as usual, give us more money please, give money me want money now give me money please money me”
