He was technically with one NFL team longer than Jason Hanson. However, Williams played in three other leagues.
I think he’s Eric Berry’s uncle.
When I was in the Army back in 2006 they found an old Staff Sergeant who left the service without concluding his paperwork, so they sent him back to the last active unit in his Brigade(Which was mine) so that he could do out processing/seperation paper work. I got to spend all week escorting a Vietnam vet around Fort Richardson and hearing about how “the good ol days” weren’t as good as people think, and about having kids, grand kids, and so fourth. It was a real honor.
Does this technically qualify as the longest nfl career in history?

i’m not sure if those stats have “minimum games played” qualifiers like how many stats have “minimum 10 attempts”. (he’s averaging well below 1 game a year)
george blanda has the most seasons played at 26, so this would be longer than that.
He’s actually a pretty cool dude now.

So, do the Eagles get a comp pick for losing this legend?
Bobby Bonilla type career
Give Bernard Williams a ring damn it
Still technically was on the team in 2017…
Ahh yes the missing piece in our AJ Brown trade.
I don’t understand why he continued to play football but didn’t apply for reinstatement to the NFL. Was he worried he was going to get suspended again? Did those other leagues not drug test?
Howie probably would have gotten a 5th rounder for him if it wasn’t past the trade deadline.
sure he’s 54, but we could use some upgrades on our o-line.
So you’re saying there is a chance we could improve our oline?
Had to Google his highlights and tbh, I think he could still play. Like seriously, note his footwork and the way he moves.
