Congrats you mimicked Android. No hate please, I have both and am waiting for my latest iPhone and will follow your lead. Just stating a fact, it has been a glaring unnecessary omission , no reason it’s not default like this by now.
Which bmw?
Anyway to stop the autostart of „mybmw“ app when starting the car?
bro created the control center with extra steps😭😭
That’s cool. Feels very Samsung with the color/icon scheme though.
Or just use control center lol
But why
Dumb question, how do you make the shortcuts in a folder not show up as a list?
Whenever I press it this shows up and not the nicer folder you have
I did the same, but with a menu. https://i.imgur.com/q2TkAs5.jpg
You the goat for this…
Can you share a screenshot of how you configured that?
This is cool. Need to do this to my action button.
Half of them you can have in your control center?
Most of them
Bruuuuuhhh charge your phone
Yeah, just did that
Some people just like to live on the edge lol
It’s honestly my favorite feature. I always have to turn my WiFi fully off when driving or it auto connects to my dash cam and stops maps and music. Since you can only temporarily disable it (idk the technical term) in control center I’d have to unlock>settings>wifi>off and again with Bluetooth. Now I can hold the action button>select shortcut and it’s done. I also have a timer set for my lunch break and before I’d forget to turn it on because I didn’t want to stop in a walkway to go through menus. Now action button>start preset timer. It’s a small time saver but it’s nice for the things you use often.
The con for me is I accidentally press it when trying to turn the volume up
you can turn off the auto connection to your dashcam’s wifi connection in the wifi settings. just turn off auto-join and that’s that.
You underestimate how muh easier is to click tbe Action Button vs dragging the Control Center down. Specially one handed or carrying stuff.
Not just that, but a lot of the most important functionality in control center is further hidden under long presses. Takes FOREVER to bring up a list of Bluetooth devices or WiFi networks or the hotspot/airdrop settings.
Not if you’re just going to select your action from a menu like OP is doing. In some ways it’s even less convenient than the Control Center because the menu items are at the very top of the screen.
Seeing that most of OP’s shortcuts are at the TOP of the screen, how much easier is it, really, to access those functions?
They should add an “open control center” shortcut action for this purpose.
Yeah, some are kind of redundant but I plan on swapping them out as I think of more convenient shortcuts to put in their place.
But the OTHER half validate the idea.
How can you create the toggle shortcut on/off.
Can you share?
Thanks
Yes please
Here’s how I did it.
- Open Shortcuts App
- Tap the + button in the top right corner.
- Tap the Add Action Button.
- Tap in the Search Field and Search “Set Silent Mode”.
- At the top of the screen it will say Turn Silent Mode On.
- Tap the word “Turn” and select “Toggle”
- Go to the search bar at the bottom of the page and Search “Vibrate Device”
- Tap Done in the top right hand corner.
Skip step 5b if you don’t want a vibration notification. Thats all.
Thanks! You’re a life saver!
