Hi there, I’m going to purchase my first Macbook and I found this deal.

The problem is the one you can see in the picture. Coverage is expired, the model is a 2020 one bought in 2021.

Chip: M1 PRO SSD: 1TB RAM: 16GB

Price: €750

Price is extremely good for these features, but the screen issue is frightening… Can you give me an advice? What should I do?

Also if you don’t think I should totally avoid buying, can you suggest me other things that I should check before buying?

    you may lose tru-tone capabilities if you replace screen yourself or go third party. aapl want $500-700$ for oem screen replacement. For that price ~$1400 you could find a sale item with 16gb ram (new)

    Only if it’s around $200. It isn’t worth the risk, and screen replacements are quite expensive

    In the states I can get a replacement screen for around 270 $ s for the part, now sure where you are but it is probably different , but consider if you can spend that extra money for when the screen breaks (not a matter of if but when) , and even then you can also plug the screen into a dongle / hdmi and use it headless.
