Any reason to as when I unlock my watch it will continuously lock itself even if I’m in the middle of replying to a sms or doing something on my watch. I must do it constantly throughout the day. I know I can always turn it off but I do use the nfc pay on it.

Is it because I’m tattooed? I remember a long time ago hearing something about that, some kind of sensor? but not sure if it applied to the screen lock

I have a tattoo half sleeve that goes down to my wrist and occasionally mine will lock.

Luckily it’s mostly yellow/gold right where my watch rests so it doesn’t happen too often. But a little bit further up it is greens and reds and it locks more if it rides up a bit.

It’s the ink. But this reminds me of the very first AW I ever got. It had a bad sensor and it returned to the Lock Screen constantly. I didn’t know jack about the AW and I thought maybe it was a feature. Took me a couple of hours to realize it. During that time I’m thinking, “This thing really sucks!”

It’s not the tattoo, idk why everyone is saying it is. I have no tattoos on that part of my arm, same hand. Also having constant re-locking issues as well.

After a search, I found that disabling the wrist detection option and then re-enabling it might fix it. I’ve done it, and so far hasn’t happened again. But I am not calling it solved just yet, giving it some more time before I do. I rebooted in between toggling of that option as well.

Just because your issue wasn’t tattoo related doesn’t mean this one isn’t. It is commonly known tattoos affect the sensors so the watch thinks it’s been detached from the wrist.

Your tattoos bro. You’re not the first to have this issue with watch + tattoo combo.

I’ve seen some people just get the ink removed in the circle the sensors would go. It’s easily the best option

Maybe it’s your tattoo but my watch has been randomly locking a lot lately and I don’t have any tattoos where my watch is so maybe it’s a bug or something with one of the updates.

Same here, no tattoo there. Try disabling and re-enabling wrist detection and see if that helps. So far, working as expected now for me but I am giving it a few more days before I call it fixed.

I’m tattooed and never had this problem. The watch looks like it’s cutting off all blood supply though.

Tat issues are common. Turn the watch around and try it. Or switch wrists. The sensor can’t see through your tats
