Drew brees is a prime example of this. Drew didnt retire after his injury and accepted the fact that if he comtinued to play tyen the long term affects of his body will take a toll. And now, drew brees cant even use his right arm to throw anymore. If luck wouldve continued who knows how many more injuries he wouldve sustained up to this point. Sure he didnt have to retire right before the season started i agree that wasnt the best time to leave. But you cant blame him for leaving. Hes not a quitter.
