/r/monarchism is fun because they have a very, very large constituency of unironic orleanists/fascists and they really want you not to notice that that’s a /
The comic of the slam poetry socialist being confused as he’s sent to the coal mines after the revolution, but it’s about an internet monarchist being confused as he’s sent to sow the potato fields after a new dynasty is installed
Some of them legit think that some fucker in spain who was born 100 years after the fall of the monarchy should rule fr*nce.
Blancs d’Espagne are so much less horrible than the Orleanists. At least those freaks are just delusional.
what.
“White Spaniards” are the guys who think the crown should go to the Bourbons down in Spain. Orleanists want the line of Louis Philippe I to take over. The White Spaniards are just delusional and there’s no serious movement to bring them back to power. The Orleanists are represented most prominently by Action Francaise, a bunch of fascists who take their cue from the deranged ramblings of an antisemitic nazi collaborator and who owe their existence to the old french antisemitic leagues.
I forgot the spanish guy’s called bourbon lol.

Many of them are American lol. Making fun of Americans for wanting socialism doesn’t make sense because the US has a rich history of socialist activities, movements, and many of the things we take for granted today are the result of socialists. But monarchism? Outside of Paradox forums you’ll be hard pressed to find any American who thinks an old guy wearing a $3 billion dollar crown shouldn’t be shot if he was ruling the US.
like that always assume they’ll be sitting on a throne of skulls instead of being construction material for a throne of skulls.
