The GTAR-21 is a variant of the Tavor TAR-21 that includes an elongated flash hider with a notch designed to allow the acceptance of a grenade launcher.

The Turkish MKEK T-40 grenade launcher is based on the design of the American M203 launcher, however it does differ in a few ways. The biggest difference is that instead of a trigger in the rear, the launcher is activated by a thumb trigger on the left side of the launcher.

This combination of weapons is used by the Indian military, and the above photo is of an Indian Army Para-SF soldier. The Tavors were transferred to the Paras on or around 2011.

The rifle in the photo also appears to have a plastic shoot-through muzzle cover attached, explaining the appearance of the muzzle.
