The edge of whatever container you intend to put the eggs in is the only way to go.

I use a knife to crack the eggs in the middle, seems weird I know but it works very well for me and doesn’t leave shell fragments. You don’t need a very sharp knife, just needs to be sharper than a butter knife.

I think a generalized description like yours is more often used for screenshots of image posts. For text posts, it’s more common to transcribe the actual text of the post. Something like:
