Well, it all ended so suddenly, mid scroll through the comments. After a dozen long years RIF, and for me reddit along with it, is finally dead. Thanks for all the entertainment RIF team, sincerely.
Personally, I have been using Apollo for two years and they too shut down.

Is it just me, or is Infinity running fine subscriptionless right now?
RIF for me right now is basically running as a browser. Does everything it did previously but doesn’t allow login. Not sure if that’s RIF going rogue or it’s still just able to put in basic HTTP requests.
TalkLittle is on Tildes, but thats invite only ATM.
I really, really hope that he can find the time to make LiF, or KbiniF, or some other fediverse browsing app because man was RiF perfect (for me at least) in every way.
True, other apps may have been great as well but RIF was so good I never explored other options. Perfect for me, or close to perfect that I never went anywhere else.
I thought it was going to end at midnight… Didn’t even get one last chance to browse shit posts after work.
It was. The Apollo dev, Christian, informed everyone on Mastodon that Reddit was a bitter child (my words) til the end and revoked the keys for Apollo and most other big third party apps (aka the competition) many hours before the developers were going to revoke them themselves.
Reddit thoroughly burned the bridge and pissed on the ashes as far as I’m concerned. Decades of use—gone. Now I wouldn’t be caught dead on Reddit for any reason, just like Facebook, purely out of spite.
Thanks friend, honestly I was apprehensive about the end and only really used Mastadon before this, but this gif is honestly what today feels like. It’s really starting to feel less like the end of a chapter and the beginning of a wonderful new age already!
I’ll keep RIF on my phone until the very end. It deserves nothing less.
