At the new requirement for Twitter, Users cannot view any tweets without logging in on Twitter anymore. nitter was dependent on this and seems to have broke the privacy frontend

    Some of the forks still work but due to the current rate limitations they cannot be used. I am giving it some time, as I have a feeling this twitter stuff might resolve on its own. I am not awfully dependent on Twitter regardless so even if nitter is done permanently it’s no big lost. We are currently posting on the Fediverse, which has its own alternative in Mastodon.
