Seems like most of /r/golf is unaware of the change at Reddit. They’re probably mostly official app users. I think it’s kind of a different demographic then the core Reddit base. Like older richer folk.
Exactly this… Can’t imagine much of the r/golf community even being aware of the existence of Lemmy. Hope this community can grow now but it will certainly take a while.
I had the same theory. I also think thats why you see a lot more tech focused communities.

There is another golf community which seems slightly more active. I think it’s in lemmyworld.
Thanks, yeah, I realized that after posting this. From the sidebar of this sub, you’d think the creator would give more of a shit.
