Anyone planning on doing this mod? I’ve got a box of “broken” controllers I’m looking to bring back to life with this kit.

Super interested in these, I have a few other gaming expenses that are higher on the list at the moment, but as soon as I can I want to pick these up. I’ve been getting into modding consoles/controllers over the past year and this is exactly the kind of thing I’d love to work on!

If any of you here get it set up I would love to see a follow up post about your thoughts :)

I stumbled across this video where the guy does a comparison between analog sticks using a homebrew test program. It’s not exactly perfect, but for many I think it would still be a preferable option. I’d probably still prefer the OG analog stick

That’s pretty cool, thanks for sharing!

“Real gamers play Perfect Dark and not Goldeneye” 😆 I loved Perfect Dark and have the game and always argued it was so much better (it’s a spiritual successor after all). But nothing wrong with enjoying both!

Have you tried the SteelStick? I found it the best replacement so far.

I just got my shipment of these sticks in before I left for vacation. I still want to use them for the console so I didn’t get the Bluetooth adapters. I’m curious to see how the sticks do. I’ve been satisfied with other 8bitdo products I’ve bought.

8bitdo is probably my favorite third party hardware manufacturer. I love the SNES retro receiver, I use it to pair with the Bluetooth switch SNES controller and I notice no lag at all. I wish they made a similar adapter for N64, however I’ve used a BlueRetro adapter for my console paired with the switch N64 Bluetooth controller and had a similar level of success.
