The pop up is saying the feature they want isn’t available in offline mode and is just asking if they want to go online. No asshole design, no software gore. Just a message that’s a little misleading out of context.
Though I don’t know this game so that might all be entirely incorrect and it might just be asshole design. Would be a weird way to phrase it though.
I’m not the original poster either, but it’s the Microsoft Solitaire Collection and I’ve seen my aunt play it. I’ve heard her say that she wasn’t able to play it when her Internet connection was down. I’m not sure what mode she wanted to play, but I definitely know that this game is full of ads and has microtransactions and subscriptions. This is Solitaire, remember.
