personally surprised that Tesla beats Jeep, but I’m uploading it mostly because it says not to.

    Why is Jeep listed as an American brand when they’re owned by a company from the Netherlands?

      Huh interesting. Apparently it’s a french-italian-american company with it’s hq in the netherlands for tax benefits I’m guessing. So… I guess the flag sorta checks out?

        Yeah, the flags mean very little. Ford of Europe, founded in Ireland and head-quartered in Germany, probably makes up a significant chunk of Ford sales as well. They don’t produce the same cars at all though - German Fords are very much not American cars.

        Which might be why Ford has stood the test of time so much better than GM.

      because we are talking about the brand not the company. the brand is certainly American.
