I don’t fully understand anarcho-primitivism, but I have a suspicion this is akin to those “starving communist” memes on Facebook.

I’ve spent some time on forums with an-prims, and forfeiting oral communication did not seem like a part of their worldview … to say the least lol

“Ohno, a minor discussion is happening! Time to get on my high horse since I have nothing worth contributing!”

Let me be blunt: I’m not even an an-prim, but this meme is clearly expressing a deliberately misrepresented caricature of what an-prims believe. Instead of opening a dialogue, it instead works to other a group of allies and dismiss their ideas outright because you lack the courage and mental fortitude to address their positions in an honest way. If we were talking about a worldview such as fascism or neoliberalism this approach would make perfect sense, since these are worldviews entirely founded on deception and dishonesty … but anarchism? Really?

Even a meme can be harmful when they are based upon harmful misconceptions, and that’s what this meme is.
