To be honest, I’ve held off from listening to anything new since Isaac left. I’m fucking judgy regarding vocalists and I just haven’t been ready to give them a chance yet.
I really enjoyed the chaotic, wolf-parade-esque bursts from Isaac. If there’s a particular track you recommend let me know and I’ll check it out.
That’s fair. Isaac was a huge part of their sound on the first two albums and they aren’t the same without him. They’re sharing vocal duties now.
From their Live at Bush Hall album I really like the songs “The Boy”, “Turbines/Pigs”, and “Dancers”. The first two are sung by May. Her voice is a lot more delicate and it’s a completely different sound than Issac but I think she sounds great. “Dancers” is sung by Tyler and she captures a little more of that energy that Isaac had but it’s not quite the same. Still an enjoyable song though.
Great song! This is probably my favorite recent band. How do you feel about their post-Isaac material?
