I’ll tell you the tale of the mayor
Who didn’t need to breathe air
When the werebeast arrived
They both took a dive
And the clerk emerged as the slayer
The noble dwarves feared for the worst
That their mayor might succumb to the curse
But as months turned to years
They laid rest to their fears
And returned to their crafts and their works
But another fell fate came instead
Dwarves found mysteriously dead
As the corpses piled high
With their arteries dry
And the walls of the halls painted red
So the colonists all took a bath
That tested the length of their breath
But the mayor had no fears
And he stayed mayor for years
As he thrived in a state of undeath!
