Found this fun article about “Minnesota Sushi” at the Star Tribune. It was a guaranteed staple at every Lutheran potluck I’ve ever been to, and almost every family gathering – though my family called it “pickle roll ups”.

Don’t know if I’ve tried that. My family likes to use pastrami sometimes just to throw a curveball and be kinda fancy, but that’s rare. Normally it’s just ham.
