    Checks date

Hmm… it’s not April 1. What kind of publication is The Guardian, anyway?

They really leaned heavily on character references in their attempts to validate the whistleblower.

While I like to believe there is life out there, what are the odds that they have already discovered and mastered the capability to travel between systems?

Or that they made it here. Also a species with such advanced tech to have interstellar travel surely wouldn’t be crashing their shit all over an inhabited planet.

Right. Like these guys just crossed the galaxy, ships getting hit with space debris at relativistic speeds, but they keep crashing? Makes no sense.

I mean, statistically speaking, it’s impossible that there’s not life out there. The universe doesn’t do things in 1’s. If one of something exists, thousands or millions or billions of that thing exists elsewhere in the universe. But, the distances involved make it highly unlikely that we’ve ever been visited. It’s also possible that we’re the first intelligent life. The universe is relatively young.
