Just grabbed the first part on DVD, as everyone’s sold out of Blu-Rays, and I don’t even own a functional BR player… plenty of third-party sellers on Amazon seem to have it in stock, whereas Amazon’s got it marked as “shipping in 1-2 months” which likely means they are out of stock and hoping to get more, which might not happen.
I’d like to have the rest of it, but I suppose there’s always sailing the seas for it.
I think Amazon downloads are safe from DRM, though I haven’t tried that.
I did just watch the finale on my Amazon account, though. hopefully that counts for osmething.
@FormerGameDev @marlowe I *very* much doubt that. The only way to be sure you’re able to watch something in the future is to either own it as physical media or pirate it.
According to this page, downloads expire after 30 days or 48 hours once you’ve started watching it and you’ll need to be connected to the internet. That’s pretty clearly heavy DRM involved. https://www.digitaltrends.com/movies/how-to-download-amazon-prime-movies-and-tv-shows/

Yeah, thats what I thought…
@FormerGameDev
Can you play the downloaded episodes using a program other than the amazon app?
If the answer is no, they can revoke access should they decide to do so.
