Zadina seems to be the only Yzerman pick that didn’t really work out. Raymond will figure it out eventually for sure. Seiders been fantastic. Cossa seems to be developing well and Edvinson had a great end to his red wings season last year. Berggen also really stood out this year as a serious NHLer. Wallinder and Johansen are looking really promising. You even have the projected upside of Kasper and Mazur to look forward to. Trust the process brother.
The prospect pool is great, the problem is putting together a roster than isn’t total crap now for the kids to figure out the NHL without losing every game.
Zadina was actually a Ken Holland pick. I do think we are set up well, Yzerman had nothing in the pipeline when he took over. I think we have an outside shot at the playoffs depending on if some of the kids make a jump.
Even better then! I couldn’t remember but I think we’re in a good spot. It might be another year or 2 before we’re really where we want to be but as long as the kids in the pipeline pan out, I think we’ll be in great shape.
