    “Black” is an identity and community and Black people have asked for capitalization. “White” is more akin to a descriptor.

      “Black” people haven’t asked for any such thing, and claiming that skin color implies any shared mental traits is the single most defining aspect of Nazi/racist ideology. Without very strong evidence to the contrary, I am not going to accept as given that dark-skinned people in the USA, France, and Nigeria are any sort of cultural monolith. The very idea is exactly as offensive as claiming all Asians have the same culture, as if Mongolia and Korea are the same place.

        a simple Google search would help you so much it’s not even funny. I never said Black people have shared mental traits, but they have shared experiences due to racism… and very often shared cultural aspects.
