Nowadays our idea of what happens is coloured by 9/11 whereas most of those highjackings before, while unpleasant, weren’t deadly for most of the people involved. When the majority of highjackings just lead to the plane being diverted to Cuba it isn’t such a big deal, but after the idea of using them as weapons got out people decided it was time to clamp down.

But I saw a documentary about train hijacking called Under Siege 2. Luckily the day was saved when a whispery voiced man grabbed the hijackers by the wrist and they breakdanced into unconsciousness.
