A new phishing-as-a-service (PhaaS) named ‘Darcula’ uses 20,000 domains to spoof brands and steal credentials from Android and iPhone users in more than 100 countries.
tfw you don’t realize you misspelled your project until you’ve already pushed it out, gotten users, and have had press articles published about it.
It’s actually a programming text editor theme for many many years
The original that has themes for almost any program you’d want to use it in is actually still Dracula. JetBrains official dark mode theme is Darcula though, and has spawned themes with the same name for Code and stuff.
All that aside, apparently the handle of the guy who developed this is darcula, but they are also a native Chinese speaker, so while I’m pretty sure they didn’t pick their handle from the theme, I still don’t know if it was a typo/mistranslation or a play on being a vampire that sells services on the darknet.

i once wrote “Holly Bilbe” on my girlfriend’s notebook cover and she thought it was brilliant and hilarious…
…
but, im just dyslexic and pretended like it was deliberate…
…
she had it for years… even wrote it on her next notebook…
