I don’t know anything about this sort of thing, but rather than quit and give some techbro libfash the money, stay on board and gather as much information as you can. Prep for some whistleblowing. Collect evidence that you were decieved as to the uses of your software perhaps, if that’s the case.
Sounds depressing though.

I don’t have any words of comfort, all I have is shared horror and sorrow.
I hope someone can help you brainstorm a way to stop this.

All it would take is even just a couple dozen of us.
Based on what you have told us about your coworkers, someone will rat you out to management long before you get to this stage.

Maybe you can go the whistleblowing route. If there is enough attention on your company by the media, that might move it to do something.

No idea what your software is or what it does. To keep it in perspective, Microsoft Excel is used in war. Only you can decide if this software is better or worse.
Hrbe
leak code database - will take like 2 years to obfuscate its you, very risky
if you are very convinced that some peace of code is doing that submit it to icj?

knowing code of shit used to kill you is somewhat useful for any future resistance
as in arrest someone - prolly not, giving some of that ibm shine - might do
I’m not a very tech inclined person, I do irrigation for a living.
It sounds like sabotage or anything like that would present very little payoff and high likelihood of something bad happening to you. Seeing as how none of that will even stop this software being used in the genocide, I’m not sure that’s the way to go.
Something to consider… my ex was a reporter for one of local news stations. You’d actually be surprised how easy it can be to get on TV with them. They’re all pretty desperate for content. If you quit and decide to make a public stand about it, a local station might be interested in airing your story (as long as it’s not a Sinclair owned station). I think your story is the kind they want because it’s definitely attention-grabbing and relates to a big story in the news now. If they do, see if they will put your segment on YouTube (they won’t give you your own clip or anything). That way you can post it on your city subreddit or stuff like that to try and signal boost.
I know this all sounds kinda lib, but the grim reality is that this is the imperial war machine and there’s nothing you as a single individual can do (we can only stop through collective action).

can you fall for some ransomware phishing or something like that?

Well it looks like you have no option but to quit
You really can’t blame yourself for helping make something that wasn’t designed for war but is used in it regardless. About as much blame as a guy in a shoe lace factory inadvertantly making laces for soldier boots. If you don’t work at the war crimes factory, you’ve done what you reasonably can probably. At least vis a vis the moral requisite of trying not to support genocide. A guy that made Excel probably shouldn’t feel bad if the US is using it to track their weapons shipments, right?

Find a way to sabotage it. Cover your tracks if possible.

Do you have access to any of the actual physical components?

Can you leak as much as possible anonymously(!)? Or open up as many holes as possible and hope someone will use it in the future, exacerbate vulnerabilities in the code and supply chain or in the infrastructure.

is it not being actively developed?

Backdoor it
It seems you cannot do anything about it. Best bet would be very publicly quit if you can. If nothing else tell your boss to fuck themselves.
