Best saber. The game is super intuitive and does not require the player to move. Literally the hardest thing for new users is the menu system.

I Expect You to Die, the first game has a really good tutorial for someone completely new to the controls. Since it’s stationary, they don’t have to worry about movement/motion sickness as much

These are imo great for newcomers as they are very good games and cause almost no issues of motion sickness:

    • Eleven Table Tennis
    • Walkabout Mini Golf
    • Beat Saber

Walkabout mini golf is always a good, you really want to avoid the chance of motion sickness and turn them off.

If it weren’t so buggy, I’d absolutely use No Man’s Sky; when it works, it’s absolutely stunning in every way. Pulling my Multitool out from behind me and swinging it around in front of me in virtual space was one of my first real, “Holy crap, that’s freaking awesome!” moments with VR.

Of course, there isn’t actually a Quest native version of No Man’s Sky – you have to tether to play it. And tethering always carries a unique set of challenges based upon whatever mixture of hardware and software you’re using on the PC… so pretty much any tethered game is likely as not to be a poor representation, in spite of the fact that the PC is going to be anywhere from two to ten times more powerful than the onboard capabilities of the Quest itself. It’s actually a very frustrating trade-off.

It definitely has its moments, but it’s very hard to get into. There are a lot of menu systems and controls you have to grapple with and I found the PSVR2 version to be quite blurry and eye straining. Definitely a game that you can get really deep into though

Walkabout for non-gamers, because there isn’t much to learn. It’s neat, but not intimidating.

The Climb 2 if they’re adventures, since it kind of blows people’s minds when they look around. On easy mode you really just need the grab button.

Superhot for gamers. It’s just fun.

I should probably add Beat Saber to the mix.

Acron for kids. There isn’t much content, but it includes everyone who has a phone, and kids find it funny.
