Cool, but it’s too much “cyberpunk got keanu”, and Pagan Min is basically an Asian Cillian Murphy type.

Vaas was always the best villain. (I worked on FarCry 3-5 as an AI programmer)

Farcry 3-5 are some of favorite games to revisot. Gameplay is just so solid.

Normally as a dev you’re just sick of the games you made, but I replay them sometimes for shits and giggles. Some of the best games ever made imo (the earlier the better)

I wouldn’t put Cillian Murphy even close to the same level as Keanu, who is universally recognised simply by his first name.

Vaas is the best FC villain, but then he dies in a quick time even (if I remember right?) before the end and you’re stuck with someone poor. Pagan Min was engaging enough and that game had the coolest setting and an amazing hand crossbow. FC5’s villains really worked for me, so I prefer those. The perfect FarcFry is, in fact, a combination of elements from these games, modernised. Instead Ubi is homogenising it into Assassin’s Cry.

This is stupid but thanks for working on those games, I love all of them. You didn’t work on 6? So you left and the series instantly fell apart? Clearly they should’ve kept you on!

It’s not a coincidence. The core team from FC3 was dwindling because we were tired of making the same thing. Farcry 4 was already Farcry 3.5, Primal was a spinoff and Farcry5 felt like FC 3.7.

I didn’t want to be part of the downfall so I left. Too many executives making game design at Ubisoft. That’s how you end up with “Ubisoft the game” and all the franchises looking alike.
