    Really? I wasn’t aware there even had been a buyout since I hated both wikia and fandom and tried to avoid them both, so wasn’t aware of a takeover. I thought they were just two equally-horrible “services”.

      I think Wikia was not as bad as Fandom, but Fandom has videos for unrelated things, links to their “content” and in one case I’ve even seen fandom moderators decide on a topic even though the canon material contradicted the decision.
