Haha I actually borrowed my wife’s iPad that has a logged in facebook account today because I wanted to find the hours of somewhere local where that was their only presence, and I legit laughed out loud when I saw the Meta AI search.

When justifying this, Mark explained that when Feed first went live, the very first price of feedback they got was “Fuck feed”. Like a minute after it rolled out. I was driving with Google maps, and I once said “Hey Google, shut up” because it was repeating the same instruction every 5 seconds, and I couldn’t oblige.
The app said something like “Silencing voice navigation” in what I swear was a sad tone. On the one hand… OK, thank you. On the other hand, I’m now on a hit list for the AI uprising.
Or just don’t use it … or just don’t use FB messenger … I only ever need it to keep in touch with family … usually to talk to people when someone dies.
So FB AI is being built for billions of dollars to not be used on a glorified obituary service.
The irony is Zuckerfuck is actually the biggest single advocate for open source AI models we have atm and just released the outstanding, open source, Llama 3 (8B and 70B models), free for use by anyone. Even you.
