    I fully support Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s invasion, but holy shit conscription is evil. There’s no way I’d want to see my kids drafted to their deaths.

      I was surprised to read last week that the average age of the mostly volunteer army up to now is 43.

        Makes sense to me. If I were any sort of combat specialist, I’d volunteer. I however wouldn’t be very useful, as they use a different type of reactor to the ones I was trained on.

      This is kinda a weird take. War is evil but conscription is a universal aspect of every total war. Every country on earth reserves the right to conscript its citizens in the case of national emergency.

        Shut the fuck up, you’re only saying that because you don’t think it will be you. We are humans who have the right to decide not to kill another human. Most Ukrainians would rather live in Russia than die in a fucking trench with their legs blown off at the age of 24.
