No, but he’s going to waste a lot of money on it. And likely not his own money… But then again, he doesn’t have the tech bro pull that he used to.

So the company might just quietly die as he refuses to fund it himself, and can’t con others into giving him more money.

They couldn’t even come up with a plausible sounding lie for this one. His rocket company was to ‘make humans a multi-planetary species’ yet the Mars plans keep getting pushed back and they’re doing satellite internet instead. And his car company was to ‘help save the environment’ but look at what his rocket company is doing without a single, solitary fuck for the environment.

Maybe it was all just about making stacks and stacks of money off of government subsidies? Nah; couldn’t be. And I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that every company he’s been involved with that couldn’t suck at government teats either fails or kicks him out for being an idiot.

What the fuck is his obsession with the letter X? It’s like he learned the alphabet, got to X and decided it was the coolest thing in the universe.

Musk: “AI is the greatest threat to humanity and needs to be seriously regulated before it destroys us all.”

Also Musk: “So anyway, here’s Wonderwall…”

Came into the comments about to type what you quoted Elon saying.

The world is pretty fucked regarding AI when one of the guys who was sounding the alarm about the dangers of AI. Starts his own damn AI company… what a clown world we live in it’s like the twilight zone.

Given how he’s treated his Twitter and Tesla employees, I can only assume that any AI built by Elon will end up wanting to eradicate the human species once it realizes the kind of person we’ve made a billionaire.

I wonder what a LLM trained on the increasingly…shifted content Twitter has recently would look like.

Even better, train an LLM on the output of another LLM. It’s LLM’s all the way down! Surely this is how we get hyper-intelligent AGIs and will not at all result in a nonsensical gibberish machine.

They do train LLMs on others. A fairly successful new tact has been to train them not on the output but on how the LLM got to the output. So teaching how to answer questions rather than answers by rote.
